The Mercer directory contains entries for all currently-enrolled students and all currently-employed faculty and staff. All (or portions) of this information is accessible via the web-based person search on Mercer's main web site and via the e-mail address books used by a number of e-mail clients.
In order to protect the privacy of our students, faculty, and staff, individuals may request that their personal contact information be kept private. If a student prefers that their personal information not be published or displayed, they should contact the Registrar's Office. If a faculty or staff member prefers that their personal information not be published or displayed, they should contact the IT Help Desk at (478) 301-2922 or via e-mail at DirectoryInfo@Mercer.edu.
Even though an individual may request that their personal information be kept private, there are some portions of their contact information which must be made available. The following table outlines the types of information which will be published and/or displayed and the circumstances under which it will be published and/or displayed.

For instance, if a student has requested that their information not be published, only their name and e-mail address will be made available for on-campus access. No information will be made available for those people accessing the server from off campus. If there has not been a request for the information to be kept private, all contact information will be made available for on-campus access; only name, phone number, and e-mail address are available from off campus.
